About UnborEng

UnborEng ("unboring engineering") turns civil and mechanical engineering concepts into something you can see and play with. Engineering is visual, yet most courses start with pages of equations. We start with the behaviour: drag a load, watch a beam bend, see where it fails, and then learn the math that explains it.

What you can use today

  • Statics Sketcher: a free body diagram and statics drawing tool for beams, trusses and frames, with SVG and PNG export.
  • Mohr's Circle Visualizer: an interactive calculator for 2D stress transformation, principal stresses and maximum shear.

Both tools are free and run in your browser, no sign-up needed.

What we are building

The UnborEng mobile app (iPhone and Android) pairs short, guided interactive lessons with parallel physics game challenges. The first courses are Statics and Material Strength, with more to follow. The app is in development and not released yet.

Who we are

UnborEng is made by Unique Pixel Studio, the small studio behind the Phinsh collage maker and the Weeklo weekly planner. Questions, ideas or feedback: [email protected].
